whatzup Battle of the Bands 6 Fort Wayne Local Music

Grand Finals Judging:

  1. While prior rounds are scored by local judges and audience voting as in the past, this year's Grand Finals will be judged by a panel of record company representatives, including representatives from Warner Brothers, Capitol and Epic Records (subject to change).
  2. Final round judging will be scored as follows: Technical Skills (up to 20 points); Song Quality (up to 20 points); Originality (up to 20 points); Stage Presence (up to 20 points); and Crowd Response (up to 20 points).

CD Participation:

  1. Participation on the CD will be based solely on judges scores, not audience votes.
  2. The 16 bands with the highest judges scores will be invited to participate on the CD.

Preliminary Round Schedule:

  1. Preliminary rounds will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays this year.
  2. Quarterfinal, Semifinal and Final rounds will be held on Thursdays beginning July 16 and concluding August 27.

whatzup Battle of the Bands Showcase at Three Rivers Festival:

  1. A showcase featuring prior whatzup Battle of the Bands champions The Orange Opera, The B-Sharps, Unlikely Alibi and Definitely Gary will be held at the Verizon Event Tent, Headwaters Park on Tuesday, July 14.
